Sermons on Growing in Christ
The key passage of this message is John 3:1-19
Dr. John Vaughn spoke to us about dealing with the adversity in our lives.
There are times that we hesitate to make decisions in our lives. However, when it’s clear that God has spoken, there should not be any hesitation.
In this message, we speak about the real necessity of having a hunger for God, and how different types of fasting can make that hunger for God come alive.
Tonight we look at adding godliness to our Christian lives.
Last week we looked at Joshua 1:8 and the promises contained in that verse. Just like Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1 contains an astounding promise for any believer that will take serious His God and His Word.
Just like Christ, we ought to have one focus: change the world-change their world. For the believer that focus-that change-comes from the wisdom and instruction found in the Bible. The work ahead of us will falter and fail if we don’t put the primacy of the Word of God in our lives.
Tonight we look at spirit-led temperance.
Many criticize Christians for seeking to spread the Gospel of Christ to the lost. There’s something these critics need to look back into history and know like many of us do: Every thing changes when God shows up.
What we will seek to begin to do this day is keep the biblical perspective with the greatest story, the greatest need this world has ever experienced.
