James Irwin was a famous astronaut who visited the moon in 1971. While returning from his moon visit, Irwin realized that he was not a celebrity, but a servant of God. The Lord is not looking for celebrities. He’s looking for servants!
We often think that we are too inadequate to do what God wants us to do. However, we can do what God wants us to do through His promises and His power. Don’t let yourself define you. God defines you and God refines you.
From the very beginning of time we have had an enemy. That enemy used a question, and from that time mankind has walked in doubt, fear, and turmoil. And now it seems that the doubt, fear, and turmoil have grown to fever pitch. We as Christians do not need to live in fear, but instead live with confidence. A confident Christian life is found in the words of Christ.
We continue our series titled “A Man Called Peter” with a focus on 1 Peter 4:12-19. Christians should not be surprised to face persecution by a resentful world that persecuted Christ.
When Christ is all, we experience boldness, focus, unity, and a realization that He is all that we need.
Man’s best, happiest, and most satisfying context is in the presence of God. However, we need to be careful because sin in our lives can result in God’s absence. We are to maintain a relationship of continuing trust in God.
We have reason to experience great joy with the knowledge of Christ’s coming. It is our privilege to give this message of joy to others.
