There is faith, but then there is faith that saves. What do you possess?
We started off our week of meetings with Dr. Ron Comfort. He went to Psalm 32 and taught the need and depth of Biblical confession before God.
This is the last message in the series “Trusting God.” In Psalm 34:8 the Lord comes to us with 1) an invitation, 2) a challenge, 3) an appeal, and 4) a promise.
The world, following the lead of its god, seeks to redefine all that God has created and made good. That includes how women, particularly Christian women, define themselves. Be it Hollywood, government, or media, women are wooed and lied to, all in the name of “freedom.” God has a different identity for them, and it is found in our text.
It was a joy to preach the riches we have in Christ: His Person, His portion, and His power. No one else we need for spiritual power and promise. What a difference it can, and must, make.
Trusting God means you see this world from the Bible perspective. Everyone walks by faith….everyone. When applied to the Scripture you see all as it was meant to be seen. This message was a joy to share.
This is a wonderful story for children in a Sunday School, but it also very much an adult lesson with adult characters making adult decisions with life-changing applications.
Trusting God completely and thoroughly is something the vast majority of believers struggle with. It takes the constant and continual renewing of the mind. In the days ahead, it is paramount we grasp the truth of Proverbs 3:5.
Brother Schmidt brings to our attention the focus Nehemiah would not let go concerning the burden God had laid on his heart, in spite of the opposition and difficulties.
Run from the Lord and you might find yourself paying a dear price, a fare that didn’t need to be paid.
