Faith Baptist Tabernacle is not in competition with other places of worship, it is a place given to the Word and work of the Master.
As the Apostle Paul stated to those in Corinth:
2 Corinthians 4:5 “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.”
This church was planted in 1958 through the Lord guiding Pastor Clyde White. At that time it was known as Highlands Baptist Church. The name was changed to the Faith Baptist Tabernacle in the mid-80’s.
Simply put, we are:
We believe in the Baptist distinctives that have marked God’s people since the founding of the New Testament church: local church, priesthood of the believer, baptism by immersion, salvation by faith alone through Christ alone, and more.
We do not belong to a larger governing body. The church is truly local, led by the Word and calling of God again as found in the New Testament.
We believe in the fundamentals of the faith: again, salvation by faith alone through Christ alone, The Bible is God’s perfect Word to mankind, the virgin birth, sinless life, death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Christ, the Trinity, baptism by immersion, and more.
Paul, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, told us of ominous times ahead:
2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
For this reason we desire to stay faithful to the Word of God. Staying faithful also means sharing the gospel – the good news – of Christ and the salvation that was purchased by His shed blood. We would love to share with you the story.
